Fountain is a sort of metaphor in terms of the way delivering data from host to clients. Accordingly, it is intended for simple methods "broadcasting data" and "linking location with data."
Technically speaking, Fountain is likely a style of data distribution method between host and client, using location service or local network broadcasting, neither a collection of certain technologies nor a certain system. And Fountain Project including this site, is for supporting to implement various Fountain-style systems. Goals of Fountain Project are "to serve simple method to implement a program which could deliver data by using location service and local network broadcasting" and and "to support new other projects of Fountain-style system."
